Differences Between Navigo and Paris Visite
A week with Navigo works out cheaper than with Paris Visite, but the weekly Navigo pass must be purchased on the Friday before the week it is valid for, and sales end on the Thursday of that same week.
These are cumbersome and confusing instructions for visitors. The Navigo is designed for residents, while the Paris Visite is designed for the convenience of tourists.
With the Navigo you can ride: public network buses, metro, RER (trains), tram, Noctilien (night buses), Orlybus and Montmartre Funicular.
With the Paris Visite you can ride: public network buses, metro, RER (trains), trams, Orlyval, Noctilien (night buses) and Montmartre Funicular.
If you still want to learn more about Navigo, check the official website. To purchase the Paris Visite pass, simply use the ticket machines at the stations or the staffed ticket windows at train and metro stations.
Attention: For traveling by metro and bus, there is an affordable option known as the single ticket, called the Ticket t+ Pass.
