RER (Réseau Express Régional)
RER Trains
The RER (Réseau Express Régional) is a red de trenes de cercanías, that is: comunican el centro de París con las afueras; and it is a fast way to travel around the French capital.

You can use it in combination with the metro, as they share many stations, or even as a replacement for it, since you can sometimes travel faster and with fewer stops using the RER.

RER Lines
There are cinco líneas, which en el centro de París funcionan como una línea de metro más, in fact metro tickets are also valid for this mode of transport.
The trenes pueden ser normales o exprés, the latter do not stop at every station, so it is advisable to take them for long-distance journeys; pay attention to the information screens.

Disneyland Paris Parks
Using the línea A of the RER you can reach the park in 40 minutes. The destination station is Marne la Vallée Chessy.
Charles de Gaulle Airport
The línea B takes you from Charles de Gaulle Airport to the center of Paris in 35 minutes. It stops at Gare du Nord, St. Michel, Châtelet Les Halles, and Denfert-Rochereau.
Orly Airport
The línea C connects the station Pont de Rungis (near the airport) with the center of Paris. You can also take the Orlyval automated train at Orly Airport to the station Antony (línea B).
Versailles
Using the RER trains, the línea C, from Paris to the station Versailles – Rive Gauche.

Train schedules depend on the lines you take, but suelen funcionar entre las 5 de la mañana y la medianoche.
Prices and Tickets
You can use single tickets known as Ticket t+ Pass (allowing unlimited transfers on the metro for 90 minutes). The unlimited travel card for tourists called Paris Visite or the local option Navigo Pass.
Prices will vary depending on your journey. Within Zone 1, which covers central Paris, a single trip on the trains costs the same as the metro: €1.90.
