Practical Information about the Eurostar
Identification
When boarding, you will need your ticket and your passport or identity document. If you are traveling with children, each child will need their own document, including infants.
You need a valid passport to travel between the UK and the EU.
Check the official website of the country you wish to visit to confirm whether citizens of your home country require a visa to enter.
We recommend checking in at least 30 minutes before departure, or 50 minutes on weekends and public holidays.
Niños
Children under 4 niños menores de cuatro años viajan gratis con Eurostartravel free, so they do not need a ticket. However, they will not have an assigned seat or be entitled to luggage allowance. They must share a seat with an adult, although if you would like a seat for your child under 4 years old, it is also possible to purchase a child's ticket.
Children's tickets (ages 4 to 12) are available at special reduced fares.
Changing facilities and a café with a children's menu are available on board.
Luggage
There is no weight limit for luggage; you simply need to be able to manage your bags yourself and store them in the designated areas.
- Adults may bring 2 pieces of luggage up to 85 cm long (3 pieces with a Business Premier ticket), including backpacks, bags, suitcases, or ski equipment, plus 1 piece of hand luggage such as a handbag, laptop bag, or briefcase.
- Children with a ticket (ages 4 and over) may bring 1 piece of luggage up to 85 cm long and one hand bag.
You can also send your luggage up to a week before you travel and collect it upon arrival. It will be held at the luggage office at your destination, but only for 14 days.
Pets
Only guide dogs accredited by the following organizations are permitted on board the Eurostar: Assistance Dogs (UK), The International Guide Dog Federation, and Assistance Dogs International.
Bicycles
Folding bicycles can be brought on any Eurostar train, provided they measure no more than 85 cm when fully folded. They must be completely covered by a protective bag, or they will not be permitted to travel. All other bicycles, along with other bulky sports equipment, must be sent via the EuroDespatch service (between €30 and €45).
Comida a bordo
The train is equipped with a café where all passengers can purchase light food and drinks. Meals and snacks are included for passengers with Premier tickets.
