Musée d'Orsay
A Must-See Museum in Paris
Musée d'Orsay
The Museo de Orsay features an exhibition dedicated to the visual arts of the 19th century. Its collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings is the largest in the world.
For that reason, it is, along with the Louvre Museum, one of the most important museums in Paris.

The building that houses the Orsay stands across from the beautiful Tuileries Gardens, separated by the Seine.
It is a former railway station that bore the same name, built for the 1900 World's Fair.
What to See at the Musée d'Orsay
Its collection of arte impresionista is the most outstanding in the world. Works by such important artists as Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cezanne y Monet.

It also displays works by other world-famous artists such as Gaugin, Van Gogh y Seurat.
In addition to painting, the Museo de Orsay also holds collections of sculpture, photography, decorative arts, and architectural elements.

The central nave of the building is covered by a bóveda de cristal y acero, which floods the interior with natural light and preserves the charm of a historic train station.
There is a beautiful view of Paris from the level of the old station clock.
A visitor-friendly museum
Its salas son fáciles de recorrer and the collections are very comprehensive, making it a opción muy recomendada, especially if you don't want a venue as vast as the Louvre Museum to explore or if you only have a few days in the city and don't want to spend too much time indoors.
We certainly recommend it as one of the top places to visit in Paris.
