Paris Museum of Modern Art
Museum of Modern Art

Built for the 1937 World's Fair, this museum opened in 1961 and displays collections of more than8,000 works from 20th-century movements and artists.
What to See at the Paris Museum of Modern Art
Made up largely of works donated by collectors and artists, the museum showcases pieces by artists such as Rouault, Picasso, Dufy, Gromaire y Matisse.

In addition to the permanent collection, whose admission is free, several interesting temporary exhibitions are held throughout the year, dedicated mostly to figures from the French and European art scenes.
One of the most visited rooms in the museum is the Sala Dufy, which features a mural covering all four walls depicting the history of electricity, rendered in a vivid mix of bright colors.
