The Parque Monceau is one of the most elegant parks in Paris. It is located in the equally elegant 8th arrondissement, just a few blocks from the Arc de Triomphe.
It was built in 1778 and is ideal for dar un paseo tranquilo y descansar.

Famous Figures and Parc Monceau
As a historical curiosity, in 1797 el Parque Monceau it served as the landing spot for André Jacques Garnerin, who performed the first parachute jump in history, landing on its grounds.

In the Parque Monceau, surrounded by luxurious buildings and mansions, Claude Monet found inspiration to paint.
Throughout its grounds, which cover 82,506 square meters, visitors can stroll past the garden rotunda, and among the variety of trees, discover estatuas de mármol dedicated to artistic figures such as Frédéric Chopin and the writer and poet Guy de Maupassant.
What to See in Parc Monceau
Parc Monceau invites visitors to leave the hustle of the city behind as they enter through ornate iron gates with gold accents, created in 1861.

Also found in the garden is the Pabellón de Chartres, which in the past was used as a watchtower.
Inside the Parque Monceau, moreover, there are two museums: the Museo Cernuschi, dedicated to Asian art, and the Museo Nissin de Camondo, with objects from the 18th century.
