There are more than 23,000 bikes spread throughout the city at 1,800 parking or stations where you can pick up or drop off your bike.
One of the greatest advantages of this system is that it is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can buy a short-term ticket at any Vélib' station.

How does Vélib' work?
To retirar una bicicleta you need to log in at the machines located at each terminal, follow the instructions, and choose one of the available bikes.
To devolver la bicicleta you need to place it in an empty docking point at one of the stations. The system beeps to confirm that the bike has been correctly returned to its slot.

Short-term tickets
The TICKET-V includes a single ride of up to 45 minutes on a classic or electric bike; after 30 minutes, an additional €1 is charged for every 30 extra minutes. Cuesta 3€
The 24-hour classic pass includes 24 hours with Vélib', where the first 30 minutes are included in the ticket price; after 30 minutes, an additional €1 is charged for every 30 extra minutes. Cuesta 5€
The 3-day pass includes 60 minutes on classic bikes or 45 minutes on electric bikes, with an additional €1 charged for each extra half hour. Cuesta 20€

Where to buy a Vélib' bike ticket
You can buy one online at the official website, download the app, or purchase it at the terminal or bike parking points.
By registering in the system with your email address, you will receive a ticket number and can then pick up your bike. Simply follow the instructions that appear on the screens of the machines located at each terminal.
In the App you can also view a map showing the location of the stations.
