Getting to Versailles by Train
You can get there with public transport by taking a train from Paris, RER línea C.
It will take you less than an hour to arrive. It depends on where your hotel in Paris is located or where you depart from.
At the nearest metro or train station, buy a ticket (at the machines or the counter) departing from the station where you are and with your destination set to Versailles Château / Rive Gauche.
If you are at a metro station that has no connection to the RER C trains, you will need to take the metro and change lines to one that does. However, the ticket you purchase from the start at the station where you are, with Versailles as your destination, is all you need to board the metro and then the train.

Once you have arrived at the Versailles Château / Rive Gauche station, the Palace of Versailles is a short walk away, around 10 minutes.
