There are several tourist cards for Paris that will help you save time and money — but which ones are the best?

What Is the Paris Pass?
The Paris Pass is a digital card that will help you plan your trip around the city and save money. It is the most popular tourist card for Paris.
You can buy it for 2, 3, 4, or 6 days and get unlimited access to more than 75 tourist attractions and sites, not only in Paris but also in the surrounding area — including, for example, the Palace of Versailles (if you purchase the 4- or 6-day pass).
What Does the Paris Pass Include?

We already know that with the Paris Pass you can visit most of the things to see in Paris. Some of the attractions included in the Paris Pass are:

- Musée de l'Orangerie (with the 4- and 6-day pass)
- Walking tour of Montmartre & Sacré-Cœur (reservation required)
None of the Paris Pass cards include transportation around the city.
How does the Paris Pass work?
The Paris Pass is activated the moment you scan it at the first attraction and will be valid for the number of consecutive days you purchased. It can be for 2, 3, 4, or 6 days.
Remember that it gives you unlimited access to the available attractions. That means there is no maximum number of visits per day, so the best approach is to plan ahead and make the most of it.
IMPORTANT: The Paris Museum Pass (included with the 4- and 6-day passes) must be collected once you are in Paris, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the following address:

Once you have picked it up, you can activate your Paris Pass. The Paris Museum Pass can only be used on consecutive days.

Go City Paris Pass: another tourist card for Paris

How does the Go City Paris Pass work?
Once you receive the digital pass in your email, you have up to two years to use it. Once you activate it upon entering the first attraction, it will be valid for the number of days you purchased.
The Go City Paris Pass comes in two formats, both of which work through the Go City app. Neither includes public transportation around Paris, but you do have the option of using hop-on hop-off tourist buses.

Go City Paris Explorer Pass
This is the best option if you want to travel at a slower pace and check your Paris must-sees off the list. It is a pass for 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 attractions that gives you 60 days to use it — so you can go at your own pace!
A visit to Disneyland Paris is available only if you purchase the 5-, 6-, or 7-attraction pass.

If you have little time to visit the city but want to explore the main Paris museums and you have a planned itinerary, then the Paris Pass is the right choice for you.
On the other hand, if you're more flexible with your visits, your stay is longer, and you're in no rush, the Go City Paris Explorer Pass will suit you well so you can go at your own pace.
If your trip to Paris is very short or you only want to visit a few attractions, it's better to buy tickets individually. Otherwise, there's no doubt that getting one of the tourist passes will help you save both time and money.
