Marché aux Puces

The Marché aux Puces or Mercado de Pulgas de Paris Saint-Ouen is the place with the highest concentration of antique dealers and secondhand shops in the world.

It is the mercado de pulgas most famous in Paris, with more than 5 million visitors per year.

The largest street market in Paris

More than a simple market, it is a complejo de alrededor de 3.000 puestos y tiendas that operates along the northern edge of the city and has already become legendary.

It currently consists of twelve covered markets together, five shopping streets, and vendors who set up their more informal stalls on the sidewalks.

It is located beyond the Montmartre neighborhood. About 35 minutes by Paris metro which are well worth it if you enjoy this type of shopping.

You can find common flea market items such as new and used clothing for adults and children, furniture, decorative objects like molduras antiguas o espejos, incredibly old tins, dolls over 100 years old, ilustraciones valiosas at fantastic prices and much more — anything you can imagine.

Take your time visiting — there is a lot to see, and it gets crowded, so the "traffic" of curious browsers and shoppers can be a little trying on your patience.

This Paris market is on the same level of popularity as the Portobello Market in London, the El Rastro Market of Madrid or the Feira da Ladra of Lisbon.
