Is It Really Worth It?
The first question you're surely asking yourself is: is it worth it, or is it just a rip-off?
The truth is that if you want to visit attractions and museums, take a river cruise, and join a tour, the answer is yes, without a doubt. Just remember that you need to make the most of each day by planning out the included places you want to visit.
Take a look at this sample itinerary you can follow with the 4- or 6-day card, which includes the Museum Pass:
- 1-day Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour with Big Bus (€39)
- Visit the Louvre Museum (17€)
- Go up the Eiffel Tower on a guided visit (€34)
- Take a wine tasting at Les Caves du Louvre (€35)
- Finish by watching the sunset from the Arc de Triomphe (€13)
If you do it on your own, that adds up to €138 for just one day. But the 4-day Paris Pass costs €199 and you still have 3 more days to enjoy it.
As you can see, by combining attractions and making the most of each day you can save up to 50% on admission.
Benefits of the Paris Pass card
- Once purchased, you will have free access to more than 75 tourist attractions and points of interest in the French capital and its surroundings (Versalles por ejemplo)
- Additionally, with your pass you can skip the ticket queues at places like the Louvre Museum and the Musée d'Orsay.
- Another benefit it offers is that you won't need to spend cash — simply show your card to access all the attractions included in the package.
- You avoid language misunderstandings: just arrive at a venue, show your card, and you're good to go.

How does the Paris Pass work?
It is activated the first time you scan it at an attraction and remains valid for the consecutive days of your pass duration — 2, 3, 4, or 6 days.
That means if you have a 2-day Paris Pass and activate it on Monday, Monday counts as your first day and Tuesday will be your last. That's why it's ideal to start using it first thing in the morning, so you have time to make the most of it.
When you purchase the pass you can print it out or display it on your phone — you don't need to collect a physical card. However, the Museum Pass (4- and 6-day passes) must be collected once you are in Paris.
