Jardin des Plantes
The Jardín Des Plantes or Jardín de las Plantas de París, is a historic botanical garden in the capital. It was created in 1635 to house a jardín de hierbas medicinales for Louis XIII.
Its 2.5 hectares of French gardens, trees, and peaceful corners are open to locals and visitors alike. It is a place deeply cherished by Parisians.

Its name translates literally as Garden of Plants.

In the Jardín de las Plantas de París you can see many plant species with their informational signs. The work carried out on its grounds serves to support and illustrate the spread of knowledge about plants, plant ecosystems, the relationships between plants and animals, and plants and people.
Some of the main highlights you can enjoy at the Jardin des Plantes are la rosalera, con 170 variedades de rosas European species, its three greenhouses: the jardín de invierno with an Art Deco style, the invernadero mexicano featuring species from arid environments, and the invernadero australiano.

There is also a huerto ecológico, a jardín alpino with more than 2,000 species of mountain plants, a garden belonging to the Escuela de Botánica, and a garden known as "Plaza de la perspectiva" created between two rows of plane trees, where thousands of bulbs bloom each year, creating a beautiful spectacle for visitors and a paradise for butterflies.
National Museum of Natural History
Within the Jardin des Plantes in Paris stands the Paris Museum of Natural History. A space dedicated to the study of nature, where huesos de dinosaurios, fossils, minerals, and more are on display.

Zoo La Ménagerie
Another attraction of the Jardin des Plantes is the Zoo La Ménagerie, one of the primeros zoológico públicos del mundo.

Home to mammals, birds, turtles, crocodiles, lizards, snakes, amphibians, insects, crustaceans, and spiders.
