Victor Hugo lived here, in this apartment on the famous Place de Vosges in the Parisian neighborhood of Le Marais, with his wife for 16 years, in the mid-19th century.

In this 280 square meter apartment he wrote some of his works, including a part of Les Miserables.
A Museum on Place de Vosges
The three-story museum was inaugurated in 1902, the centenary of his birth. In it you can admire a collection of graphic works and original manuscripts, as well as photographs, paintings, sculptures and part of the furniture of the famous playwright.
